High Park Zoo Tour Information

Thank you for your interest in booking a tour at High Park Zoo! Tours are available for children/youth as part of school and camp groups.

The Zoo’s eleven paddocks are home to a variety of animal species from around the world including bison, llamas, peacocks, reindeer, highland cattle, mouflon sheep, yak, emus, capybaras, and barbary sheep.

Tour Information

Tours can be customized based on your group’s interests/ages, however factors such as the weather, time of year, the animals the day of the tour and any other priorities at the zoo could impact the specific details of the tour.

Tours are currently available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with a start between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. Note that in future months we may have expanded hours; please contact us for more information.

Duration of tours are approximately 1 – 1.5 hours.

Tour Group Sizes

Tour groups consisting of up to 20 children can be accommodated; or up to 40 children who are part of a school, camp or organised group. Any larger and the animals stop participating in the interactions!

Cost

The cost for tours is a $150.00 donation for up to 20 children and their caregivers.

Payment is requested in full prior to the scheduled tour. We accept most forms of payment (with the exception of MasterCard). In some cases we may be able to invoice you after a tour; please contact us to discuss arrangements.

Requesting a Tour

To request a tour, please contact info@highparkzoo.ca and provide the following information:

  • Group / organization name (if applicable)
  • Group demographic (age group, specific interests)
  • Approximate number of participants
  • Preferred date(s) and time(s)

Please note that we request as much advance notice as possible (a month is preferred!) for arranging a tour so that scheduling can be arranged.
